We're Off In March

So yes, we're off to Portland on the 3rd of March. Clare and I have attended the US Consulate (seperately!) and innocently eavesdropped on sad tales of DUI & Moral Turpitude, but we passed with flying colours while others were sadly turned away. Qantas is booked, with Clare's massive Gold baggage allowance (God Bless Gold!) We've started negotiating an apartment in Portland, with the promise of the BBC cable channel to keep our US TV sanity. And I've virtually driven around town a few times with the help of Google maps. Couldn't do all that in the old days. So new experiences are just around the corner now, just have to pack a few more boxes...

It might just be the beginning
